With Growing concerns over the harmful UV rays, consumers are purchasing products to safeguard against the effects of continuous exposure during outdoor activities. Visored caps, expecially baseball caps, are currently the most popular, and the consumers number one choice in head protection.

But one difficulty experienced by people engaged in outdoor recreational activities is that the cap can be unexpectedly lifted from a person's head. This problem is particularly bothersome when traveling in an open-air vehicle such as Marine Vessel, Personal Watercraft, Convertible Automobile and Off Road vehicle; These conditions not only expose the consumer to potential safety risks but also creates a possibility for the consumer to lose their favorite cap. Unfortunately the consumer chooses to abstain from wearing protection and increases their exposure time in the UV Rays.

With *"CapSure" TM, the consumer finally has a product with a unique Tether Design that deploys instantly from the rim of the cap to attach to their apparel when needed. This allows the consumer the continuous protection against the harmful UV rays in most environmental conditions. It also
decreases the potential safety risks involved when trying to retrieve their blown off cap.

Numerous devices have been proposed in the art for preventing a hat worn by a person from blowing off completely but a major disadvantage of the prior art devices are; when conditions are such that a tether is not needed, the prior art devices are not easily stored without their complete removal from the hat. This makes the device inconvenient and bothersome. *"Capsure" TM provides the consumer with the added convenience of the tether that retracts into the inner band of the hat when the device is not in use.
